Allen’s Hand, the absolute cult boyband of the decade, is back with a vengeance, dedicated to bringing the word of the Chicken King to the people. Thermochemistry.
Thermochemistry is the sexiest track of the year, built off of a funky Jamiroqua-ish guitar riff and a groovy bass line, yet eventually leading into a powerful chorus where Iron Maiden riffs meet Thrice-esque leads. Like the title suggests, it explores intense sexual connection, juxtaposed with realizing someone you love is completely wrong for you. The acknowledgement of a beautiful threat, a speck of the divine in the spectrum of gutter.
Allen’s Hand consists of Eggstein (guitarist), Hennis (vocals), The Nugget (bass) and Larry (drums). Thermochemistry was produced by Dimitris Radis (we own the sky), mastered by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Studios, directed by Ioannis Koliopoulos.
Allen’s Hand slowly initiate us unto their cult. We were introduced to their unique sound with the track Rise Of The Chicken King, followed by their heavy anthem Re-Pack Your Bags, then Figurine sank us deeper into the abyss. Thermochemistry on the other hand, embraces the dangerous yet appealing. It describes the intensity of realizing someone you’re addicted to is a poisonous influence.
It’s not will that drives the purpose, it’s the powers that be.
